The focus here is on national level services (not those which operate only at a municipal or city level and which are not controlled or regulated by the national government). A 'yes' in any question will refer to both types of transport. However, if there is no national level service operated or regulated by the government for a given type of transport (for instance busses), then this type is ignored in this data category. Data submitted in this category should meet the following minimum criteria:

• Time of operating
• Time of leaving first station and arriving to the last station
• Updated at least once a year

Submitter's comments: There are no digital timetables available online, (there is no passenger train service). All public transport is privately owned. There are basic timetables available in printed form upon request as is a rudimentary description of minibus routes - but not online.

Reviewer's comments: Online research confirms that since 2009 there has not been public train transportation services in Botswana (since state-owned Botswana Railways folded), although services from Zimbabve still run through a very small part of the country. There are plenty of bus services, but all appear to be run by privately owned companies. As a consequence I have marked this dataset as not available.
