• Scale of 1:250,000 (1 cm = 2.5km).
• Markings of national roads
• National borders
• Marking of streams, rivers, lakes, mountains.
• Updated at least once a year.

The map is provided by the GIS Directorate of the Bahraini Central Informatics Organization. The only way to access the data is through forms. Data is clearly not open (see "Agreement" tab): "The data, information and all materials [...] are protected by the Copyright Laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain and by international treaties. It is illegal and strictly prohibited to distribute, publish, offer for sale, license or sublicense, give or redistribute to any other party the Materials in hard copy or digital form without the prior written permission from CIO. All offenders will be sued in a court of law."
